Fatemeh received her Medical Doctor’s degree from San Raffaele University in Milan, Italy, with honours (cum laude distinction). She completed her last year general medicine thesis at UCLA university, USA. Immediately after, she specialised in Radiology at San Raffaele University and Hospital where she was trained clinically in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Imaging, Prostate Imaging, Breast Imaging, Neuroradiology, and general diagnostic radiology. During her residency she participated in a range of clinical radiology research fields and published several articles.
She also obtained a MSc in computational chemistry from Sharif University, Tehran, Iran and is very keen to apply her computational experiences in the medical field.
Currently, she is doing her final year thesis of residency in breast imaging at Cambridge University under supervision of Prof. Fiona Gilbert.
Fatemeh’s research is centred on using artificial intelligence in breast MRI. In particular, she is focusing on analysing the Breast MRI TRICK database to investigate the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy on invasive breast cancer using Convolutional Neural Networks Analysis.
