The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) held their annual meeting at the end of June in Paris. Our department was well represented there this year, with many papers and abstracts being presented. We are proud to congratulate three of our department members on awards:
Huge congratulations go to Dr Martin Graves, Head of MRI Physics at Cambridge University Hospitals and Affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Radiology, was awarded a prestigious Senior Fellowship of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM). This has been given in recognition of his contributions to oncological and vessel wall imaging as well as MRI education and training.
Congratulations must also go to two of our Phd Students; Dr Jamie MacKay and Mr James Grist were awarded Magna Cum Laude awards for their oral presentations at the meeting: “Physiology of Joint Tissues in Osteoarthritis” and “Imaging the healthy human brain with hyperpolarized [1-13C] pyruvate” respectively.
