“The Anglo-Japanese Radiological Association symposium has been held on Sunday the 15th of April in Yokohama, Tristan Barrett gave a lecture entitled ‘Radiology demand and supply: responding to the challenge in the UK’ on which he discussed intelligibly about expanding demand for radiology services by contrast gradual increase in the number of radiologists in UK hospitals, the facts that non-radiologists such as sonographers and radiographers report some clinical imaging etc. His talk was very intriguing and informative. I thank you so much for introducing him as a lecturer on behalf of the Japanese members of AJRA. He talked on prostate MRI at the Jikei University on the next day and then went to Kyoto (some lectures there) before going home yesterday.
I also thank you that you treated kindly Hideharu Sugimoto at the 40th Anniversary meeting in Cambridge last March. He emailed me that he enjoyed himself (a bit nervous about talking though) and Prof Gilbert was very friendly and attractive (!)
Lastly, I highly express my respect that you received the Great Shogun Award last year! I will appreciate your further collaboration in developing our relationship.”
