Hilal Sahin obtained her medical degree in 2005 at the Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey. Between 2005 and 2010, she worked as a Radiology registrar at the Department of Radiology at Ege University, Izmir, Turkey. After 2 years of compulsory work at Zonguldak, Turkey, she started working as a consultant radiologist at Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, Izmir, Turkey in 2013.
Her research at the University of Cambridge is focused on oncologic imaging, mostly gynaecological cancers. She is working with Professor Evis Sala.
